KronosWorks 2016: Questions, Themes, and some Commentary

Last week, over 2,000 Kronos-users gathered in Orlando, Florida for the annual KronosWorks conference. Our Improvizations team was proud to be a part of the conference again this year, displaying a booth in the exhibition hall and attended various educational sessions. The entire conference presented opportunities for networking, training, and learning about the multiple advancements within Kronos and the field of Workforce Management. For those of you who couldn’t make it out to KronosWorks 2016, here are a few of the most important highlights:

  1. New Kronos InTouch

Screen Shot 2016-11-21 at 12.33.02 PM.pngDuring the conference, Kronos announced a new version of the Kronos InTouch time clock. The new Kronos time clock is the most advanced and responsive model of the InTouch series, featuring a touch-screen display and biometric identification. Built for the modern workforce, the device makes clocking-in and out extremely efficient and allows workers to self-service multiple data requests, including requesting time off, scheduling, viewing text messages or video messages, etc.

  1. Introduction to the new Kronos Community

KronosWorks announced the launch of the new Kronos community. The interactive platform was designed to enable Kronos users around the world to collaborate with other users, Kronos experts and partners. The site features access to educational resources, peer support, discussion groups, and live forums where users can submit new ideas or troubleshoot issues. The Kronos Community is designed to be a resource for Kronos users to learn how to better maximize ROI from their application and continuously improve workforce management operations.

  1. Kronos Paragon

Kronos Paragon was first introduced at KronosWorks 2015, described as a tool to streamline the deployment of WFC in the cloud by allowing customers to leverage a vast matrix of proven industry-specific building blocks and common regional configurations. Since 2015, Paragon has helped organizations across the nation accelereate their time to value by an average of nearly 40 percent. Kronos Paragon is becoming the standard methodology for most WFC implementations and continues to prove a successful implementation strategy.

  1. Kronos Cloud

Migrations to the Kronos Cloud are continually gaining momentum as more than 20,000 customers around the world are now operating in the cloud. The 2016 fiscal year proved the best year so far for migrating on-premise applications to the Kronos Cloud. Kronos has migrated more than 1.1 million employee licenses in all verticals since April 2016 and continues to see growth in cloud migrations. The Kronos Cloud is the fastest growing part of Kronos and now represents more than 60% of Kronos’ total revenue.  Improvizations is fully certified to work in the cloud: learn more!

  1. Workforce Ready

In the opening session, Kronos also highlighted recent success with Kronos Workforce Ready, a Human Capital management system that allows organizations to manage, retain, and engage talent from pre-hire to retire. The past 12 months have shown an increased adoption rate of 45 percent. Organizations are choosing to implement the full-suite, including recruiting and on boarding, time and attendance, payroll, performance, compensation - all available in a single system. The growth is not limited to the United States, as international customers have doubled since last year. The intuitive user experience and valuable functionality are helping organizations everywhere better manage their workforce.

Once again, KronosWorks proved to be a groundbreaking event bringing together thousands of Kronos users and inspiring us to continue to revolutionize the field of workforce and human capital management.

We are looking forward to next year!
